Sackville (Halifax), Nova Scotia CEUs: • Nova Scotia members – 6 CEUs • New Brunswick members – 13 CEUs Cost: $375.00 Course Description This two day practical “hands-on” orthopaedic review seminar is designed to provide the Registered Massage Therapist with systematic problem solving skills that will enhance the practitioner’s level of skill and confidence with respect to performing a cervical spine examination. Emphasis is placed on examination of the cervical “whiplash” client and covers relevant anatomy, biomechanics, orthopaedic assessment (including neurological and palpation), and medico-legal reporting. This orthopaedic review is client-centered and is not designed to be nor intended to be a comprehensive presentation of the whiplash phenomenon. Participants will receive a manual with an outline of the seminar, vertebrobasilar circulation questionnaire, MVA personal injury questionnaire, cervical spine disability questionnaire, a "do's and don'ts" guide to medico-legal reporting, and a sample template upon which to base future medico-legal reports.
